LAR
SERIES INKS
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
LAR inks are specially formulated for rotogravure surface printing on
to a range of cigarettes carton boards.
SUBSTRATES:
The following substrates may be printed using LAR inks
PROPERTIES:
-
Good printability
-
Good gloss
-
Good scuff and abrasion resistance
-
Low foaming potential
-
High Colour strength at normal ink film weight
-
Low solvent retention
-
Accepts inline cutting and creasing
-
Reasonable Degree of light fastness
-
Opaque covering strength
-
Sealing resistance without over lacquer
-
Static / Dynamic friction of coefficient
-
No blocking
PRESS CONDITIONS:
LAR inks can be printed at most printing speeds up to 150-250m/min without
any problem. However where fast speed and over print varnish is recommended
than ensure efficient drying units and chill rollers.
Reducer: Slow n-Propyl Acetate = 100%
Medium iso-Propyl Acetate = 100%
Fast Ethyl Acetate = 100%
Reduce the LAR inks with above solvents to printing viscosities.
Accelerator: Ethyl Acetate
Retarder: n-Propyl Acetate Ethoxy Propanol 1-3% can be used to more slower
the system but the user should always be aware that too slow drying solvents
can significantly increase the solvent retention on all substrates.
WASH UP:
Ester = 100%
