WFX
SERIES
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
WFX waterbased inks are formulated for flexo printing of multiwall sacks,
corrugated or solid fiberboard cases, kraft shoppers, sulphite bags and
similar lightweight packaging papers. They are characterised by their
ability to provide high quality prints and maximum brightness over bleached,
and brown substrates.
PROPERTIES:
SUBSTRATES:
Bleached, oyster and brown kraft used in sacks, corrugated and solid
fibre board cases. Sulphite papers used in bags and wrapping papers. Other
paper based materials including certain coated stocks.
COLOUR RANGE:
WFX inks are available in a wide range of colours. Although the pigments
used in WFX inks have a reasonable degree of lightfastness they are not
normally suited to extended exposure to direct sunlight. For some colours
improved lightfastness can be made available. This requirement should
be discussed with our technical service personnel prior to ordering.
REDUCERS:
Reduce with water only to printing viscosity.
ROLLERS AND STEREOS:
WFX inks are waterbased and may be used with all normal rubber and photopolymer
stereos. Mild steel rollers should not be used as they are liable to rust.
STORAGE:
Being waterbased WFX inks are not considered highly inflammable. WFX
inks should not be allowed to freeze.
WASH UP:
Water is normally used. However, if inks have been allowed to dry on
the rollers or stereos, glycol ethers or mild alkali solution may be necessary
to fully remove dried ink.
